Confidence Is The Key~ Asking someone to homecoming! (2)

Now I know that there really isn't much time left for a few of us, because some homecomings have already happened and all, but there are still some people who have not chosen how they are going to ask someone to the dance!!! You people really need to hurry up, you are running out of time!!!! Here are some new ways I thought of to ask someone to homecoming:

Pen Drop: (I thought of this the other day in civics class) So what you do is take a thin piece of paper (not lined) and you begin to write your note. Then precede to grab a pen with one of those tab hanger things on them and role it around the pen and under the hanger. Once you are finished, make sure the paper will not fall off (if it does, get tape)! Then all you have to do is write their name visibly on the paper, and DROP!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!! For this you will need a birthday card and some creativity. (this one is the one I find cutest)First you have to make tickets, include:
- 1 pick up ticket
- 1 homecoming date ticket
- 1 all night dance ticket
- 1 kiss ticket (if you have been together for awhile)
make them as artsy as you can without distracting from the main purpose. Also include in the card that these are non-refundable, all in one night use (use 1, got to use them all). Next tape a small paper envelope on the inside of the card, and label "Homecoming?" on the part of the inside envelope where the flap covers it, stick the tickets inside, tape shut. Next write something in the card (make it something original, girls like that), make sure you mention something like I'm giving you your present early/late this year or I know it isn't your birthday, but here's a present anyway! O and make sure to tell them that they have to say yes once they see what is inside.

Message In A Bottle: Now this is if you know where the girl lives! Unless of course you put it in her locker (make sure she checks it regularly). Find a glass bottle, tear the tag off, and clean it. Then get someone with really good penmanship (my guess is you don't have good writing skills) and have them write a cute letter.
Now when I say letter in a bottle my mind has so many ideas, you could make the letter sound like it was from 100 years ago or you could go modern day. What ever floats your boat! Make a tag with the persons name on it and wrap it around the mouth of the bottle with a ribbon. Then deliver!

Half Time: If you can pull some strings and your homecoming game is a couple days before the dance, this is a really cute idea! Get a couple of the guys to hold up signs that spell out Homecoming and then her initials or her name, but make sure she can see it!

Chiming The Glass: When she goes out, go to her house, go to the back. Call her and say it is urgent, also to be there quickly. Be standing on something tall so that she can see you from any point! Be in a suit, have a glass, and have a piece of silverware. When she comes into view, start tapping the glass. Do the usual intro you would do at a formal diner, and then announce that you want her to go to go to the dance with you.

That's all I got for now, see you at homecoming!!

Confidence Is The Key~ Asking Someone To Homecoming!

I know that at least a few of you are looking forward to HOMECOMING this year! Which means I am posting this in ADVANCE!!!! I have 2 other posts to finish and hopefully I can get some posts going on in "Life In The Day Of Me" because I haven't posted anything since august 3!!!!!!! But back to the story here:

If you were me, you probably wouldn't be even close to thinking about this, because well.......... I think that everybody who shows any signs of liking me is just trying to make my life miserable or trying to get my hopes up and then stomp me into the ground (hint-hint I'm hard to get). But this year I am doing it for you guys! 10 creative ways to ask someone to prom brought to you by Holly Ashworth on teenadvice.com. Of course it's homecoming but I still think it would be awesome if somebody put SOME thought into how they do things!!!

#1 You Tube video- I think this is ultra cute! I mean what kinda girl's heart does not melt at the sight of a guy asking her out like that one guy did for proposing to his girlfriend? What a beautiful thing to witness!
WARNINGS- To protect her privacy make it a "private video" or use her nickname/initials!

#2 Stuffed animal- Send her a cute and fuzzy stuffed animal! All you need to do is rap a tag around it that say's "Will you go to homecoming with me?". And that is pretty much all it is!

#3 Parking tickets- all I had to say is awwwwww! What a cute idea! Just stick a paper saying _____ under her windshield wiper.

  • "You are being fined for being way to fine! Will you go to homecoming with me?"
  • "You are being fined for being out of this world! Will you go to homecoming with me?"
  • Etc.
and if you have a relative that is a police officer than this is the plan for you!
WARNINGS- Don't be to cheesy!

#4 Fortune Cookies- In the post she mentions a place called "greenfire" that makes custom fortune cookies. I would say this is better for a proposal but it's really up to you!

#5 Languages- if your sweet-hart has a passion for Spanish, get a dictionary and ask them out in Spanish!
Same goes with any language really!
WARNINGS- Make sure you know what you are saying! Some bad words can closely resemble the ones that are truly Innocent!

#6 Cookies- If you love baking or if you have a wonderful mom this one comes down to your sweetheart's sweet-tooth. just make  a batch of cookies, place a note, place wax/tissue paper down, and pile the cookies nice and thick.
WARNINGS- allergies!

#7 Flowers- this is an easy way to get yourself some brownie points! just call in a flower order company and send it with a note. Or you can get some flowers from the store, put in a handmade note, ring the doorbell and RUN!
WARNINGS- allergies!

#8 CD- "Burn some of your favorite romantic songs on a CD. Instead of listing the song names and artists, use the liner notes to pop the big question."  Or you can put their favorite songs on a CD and then put on a voice recording at the end.
WARNINGS- make sure to tell them to listen to the end!

#9 Formal Invite- "Write an invitation in your best calligraphy on a piece of parchment paper, then roll it up and tie it with a velvet ribbon. Slip it into his backpack or locker, or to get even more authentic, enlist one of your friends to act as a messenger."

#10 Get Some Balls!
Ask him or her in person! If you aren't as creative as many other people. Good God, don't hide behind the internet dude!

I hope everybody has a wonderful time at homecoming, see you there!

Confidence Is The Key~ RATS 101 (finishing soon)

Many of you are probably wondering........ rats....... O boy this is going to be a long one. well if you thought that........ you are right! I am trying to convince my brother to change his idea of getting a winter white hamster........... and get 2 RATS. And yes, I have done my job :) We are hopefully getting 2 rats from the Woodbury AHS. The rats names are Olive and Elsie, they are quite cute in my perspective. -> Olive   <- Elsie

1. ALL ABOUT RATS!

  • The average healthy rat lives about 2-3 years, being able to breed at the small age of about 6 weeks*
  • A rat is an omnivore, meaning it can eat about anything we can.
  • Rats are about as intelligent as a 2 year old, which is a lot of brain capacity compared to the size of their brains.
  • Rats CAN be litter trained, they also can learn many other tricks including shoulder rides, standing on their hind legs, and running through mazes.
  • (More COMING SOON)

2. Females V.S. Males
